I’m looking for my first snowboard, bindings & boots, are clipin bindings/boots still in production?

Posted on September 22nd, 2009 by admin

I saw clipin’s at Lake Tahoe last weekend and they looked cool, nice and low profile. But I can’t find them on websites so I’m not sure if they are mega new or old. I fear they are no longer made.

You can find them on e-bay. I wouldn’t recommend it. If the baseplate or any part gets iced up, it becomes hell to try to click in.

What is the best way to ship a snowboard, boots & bindings from MA to CA?

Posted on September 16th, 2009 by admin

DHL, UPS, or FEDEX are your best bets. You will get a tracking number and some insurance with them included with the cost of shipping. When I have had to ship boards in the past I have gone to shipping centers and had them take care of everything. The cost to for packaging is pretty cheap and its easier to just have them do it. If you decide to package it on your own keep in mind that weight and size of the package are both taken in to account when you are quoted on the price for shipping.

hollyy ’shredstar’ stevens

Feel free to show me other boards as well as boots/bindings if you want

Which camp? Champions?

Don’t get ride boots, get 32. They’re the best boot company by far. Any 32 boot will be better than rides.

Bindings I’d say ride. I have ride bindings and they’re pretty sick, cept one strtap kinda broke but it still works fine.

But it’s obvious you’re far more concerned with color coordination than the quality of the product so I don’t know of my opinion matters.

How much should i sell my 5150 Snowboard/Bindings/Boots for?

Posted on September 7th, 2009 by admin

I’ve had my board fro about three, four seasons and ive outgrown it. Its in good condition with only superficial scratches. All it needs is another hotwax and sharpening. Its a 149, 5150 Covert. It was my first board and i’ve kept it in good condition, and hoping to get the best deal for it. Much thanks.
i purchaced the set for $270.

nah. boots bindings and board all together? i’d try to get $300

What do I need to know when buying a snowboard, bindings, boots etc?

Posted on September 4th, 2009 by admin

I’m new to snowboarding and I am ready to purchase a full set up but I know very little, so any information or tips would really be appreciated!
thanks

1) go to a snowboard shop (dont go to sports authority or something)
2) tell them your TOTAL budget so they wont waste time showing your $500 boards
3) tell them you are new and know little…most of the time snowboard shops will walk you through the process..very helpful…they might charge a little bit more..but they make it up with service

FREESTYLE/ALL AROUND ORIENTED RIDES

Never Summer SL-R
Libtech Skate Banana
GNU Street
Burton Hero
Capita Horrorscope
Omatic Awesome
Omatic Celebrity
K2 Darkstar
Rome Artifact 1985
Rome Agent

For a freestyle size I would look around 145-149

Some bindings to checkout

Rome 390’s
Rome Arsenals "Not THE ARSENALS"
Union Force
K2 Formulas
Bentmetal Biscuits ++
Flow Team
Flow NXT

If you have enough money go for the 390’s they’re really nice freestyle bindings.

http://www.whiskeymilitia.com/ – timed sales, you could get lucky though.

Dogfunk starting on the 16th or 17th one of those days will be starting a big sale of 70% off on what they say will be a thousand plus items, would be a good time to save some money and grab quality gear.
