Do all snowboard clip-in boots and bindings work together?

Posted on November 17th, 2009 by admin

I just want to replace the boots, but I have clip-in bindings and don’t know which brand of boots I need
thanks for nothing stevie…. and your avatar is retarded

I don’t think there is a single shop who sells clip in’s anymore. You will prob have a hard time finding boots. I tried to help a family friend in this same situation recently and I had no luck.

I suggest you got to a conventional binding set up. If you are looking for something easy to use, check out some Flow bindings with a boot you like.

I got my dad out of clip in’s about 5 years ago. He loves his new set up. Always tells me how much better his boots are since he dosent have to wear the super stiff clip in boots.

If you are down for a new binding boot set up I can make some suggestions.

Is the lens on the "Anon painted white/silver mirror lens" snowboard goggles really like a mirror?

Posted on November 17th, 2009 by admin

http://www.tactics.com/anon/helix-goggles?src=gglb

that’s them, the white ones, so what im asking is can you see through the lenses? like if i was wearing them would you be able to see my eyes if you were looking or would it just be like a mirror? and also are they fog proof?

If you are wearing them, no I wouldn’t be able to see your eyes, I would just see my reflection. All Anon goggles are fogproof so yes it wont fog up on you.

Hope this helps.

What type of snowboard bindings are best? I have a budget of about $150.?

I am an intermediate to advanced rider.

I like Flow bindings. The backs fold down so you never have to strap in. You just fold down the hi-back, put your foot in, fold it back up, and go.

Will I be able to use my new Burton snowboard boots if my snowboard has FORUM bindings?

I’m new to snowboarding and am not sure how compatible products are from different companies.

Should I get anon or spy snowboard goggles?

Posted on November 13th, 2009 by admin

Which is better? And what kind should I get if money is really no object. I already have Dragon DXS goggles but i wanted something new for this year.

If money really is no object, go for the Spy Orbit or the Anon Realm… both brands are good and both of those goggles are higher end ones… it’ll just fall on personal style.

Good luck and enjoy whatever you get!

Snowboard bindings-boots?

Posted on November 8th, 2009 by admin

i’m looking at purchasing a Women’s Burton Snowboard(sz. 142) and Bindings(Burton size 9)…I am a womens size 10 shoe, does it matter what boots i get to fit inside the bindings, and will size 9 bindings fit a size 10 boot?

Hey Lindsey-

There isn’t a Burton binding size 9… they are sized in S, M, L for women. With a women’s 10 boot, you will always be in a size L women’s Burton binding. Medium is designed for up to size 8. If you can tell what model binding it is, I can give you some more info.
Good luck!

Cheapest place to buy a burton snowboard and bindings?

Posted on November 8th, 2009 by admin

Im looking for a beginners board for this season, have been recommended a burton feather (?). Where is the cheapest place I can get hold of one, I dont mind second hand as long as its in good condition! (have tried ebay and nothing as yet).

Why Burton? There are a ton of great beginner boards out there with out the cost of a new Burton. Go to your local board shop and let the guys there help you make your choice. The feather is a good board but you have to look at weather you really want to learn how to ride. You will progress out of a board like that in a mater of a season. Thus you will have to get a new board next year. Do your home work, don’t just go and get a board that your friend rides or suggest. Get the board that’s good for you not everyone else.

Are the snowboarding EX Series Bindings good for my avalanche snowboard? And, is the avalanche snowboard good?

Posted on November 8th, 2009 by admin

Im learning jumps, and i can do boxes.

the ex bindings are good. They are made by ride snowboards which is one of the leaders in bindings and technologies. However it is an entry level binding. Price point. It is fine but they make some slightly more expensive and more freestyle desighned bindings that will offer more support without taking away your feel and mobility. If you are stepping up to boxes and jumps it may be time to upgrade. The best time is now because things can be found on sale and then throw off the cost by selling your old product. A binding I would recomend (as I ride Ride products board and binding). Binding- Contraband. One strap for easy on and off incase you are hiking back up to the box again. And for board the DH. Or a less expensive freestyle board is the ride kink. Great too. The avalanche could be fine but what kind? IS it made for freestyle of is it a freeride? the Ride kink or Dh is designed to not "grab" on rails and boxes or catch an edge (resulting in the quick fall). Your gear will work fine. But try friends stuff or go to free demo days on the mountain to try new gear. You never know what this stuff can do to your learning curve until you try it out. Most importantly is that you are out there doing it. Incourage your friends. Go to ridesnowboards.com. See ya on da slopes!
